But I did take some pics from the WVA pumpkin festival.

Took this picture this AM ( thurs 2nd oct).

Was in the yard wondering if it was time to take down the humming bird feeder and if they had already left. as I was looking I was being chirped at from the small tree in the yard.

Guess they are telling me to forget Humming bird pics and concentrate on Cardinals etc

Great news.

Ive been offered a chance to do some pro photo development in Nevada/Southern California.

This includes Places Like Ryholite, and other famous Places in Death Valley National Park.

pictures from Mcneely lake Kentucky, which is just under 5 miles from here.

pictures taken at various times in the year so some places may be the same but look very diffrent.

Some more things about the Wind storm of 2008.

Although the wind blew close to 80mph at times , the humming bird feeder never got blown off its stand.

It blew about but never fell.

The small tree didnt take much damage either bar a few lost leafs.

Feeder up close - most of the other feeders in the neighbourhood blew down so it was a captive audience.

Not a single Pepper plant , Basil plant or Tomato plant got any Damage.

AND HERE IS MY FIRST RED "FRESNO" PEPPER OF THE SEASON MORE TO COME SOON

We had new doors , and the old ones are still in the yard , since we had high winds from Gustav remains , I led them on the grass , seems the birds noticed they had collected rainwater.

I came up with the idea of trying to do this kind of photo, and I think I got it 75 percent good.

 If your thinking it was easy to get a good crown effect , nope I prob took over 2500 shots and only 1 or 2 out of that many was even any good

A single water drop up close as it hits well the (kitchen sink filled with water).

This picture has been enhanced for contrast and color but very little else.

Camera used -- SLR (olympus E 500)  -- Manual setting -- speed faster then 1/250th of a second.

Stange things happen sometimes, but this is pretty weird.

the weather people said localy 2 inches or more of rain fell yesterday morning ( 3rd sept)

But only only on one spot in Kentucky, the rest of the state and indeed region was dry.

STRANGE STUFF :))

but on the plus side it will help my Anaheim peppers grow.
